I purchased my eyefi card exactly two years ago in preparation for a trip to South America. My camera doe not have built-in WiFi, hence why I purchased the Eyefi. Initially, I was pretty satisfied but connecting with a poor WiFi connection was almost impossible to upload while traveling. My attempt to contact customer service failed when I received a generic email response. My main concerns with this card are 1 Difficult to connect to card WiFi at timed and 2 App and website are not easy to use unless you pay for the premium service.

This is my first Wi-fi enabled SD card. Overall it's a solid product allowing easy and relatively fast transfers between my cameras and my Moto G. Setup is fast. Download the free Keenai app, install the SD card into my camera, go to the camera settings and turn on WIFI settings, pair the card and my phone and it's up and running.

It took me only about 3 minutes to get this ready to roll. It's extremely useful to be able to see the pictures on a larger screen, especially if you're doing manual focusing. What may appear to be in focus on your camera may actually not be that sharp and knowing while you still are on site is far preferable then getting back to your computer and realizing it's either out of focus or unwanted soft focus.

Obviously, the smaller your pictures the faster it will transfer. If you're transferring RAW file format it will obviously slow down significantly. If you take a lot of photos and don't regularly clear off your phone after a transfer, expect to run out of space quickly.

You can however, tell the app to send the transferred photos to a MicroSD card if your phone as one. My main problem with the eyeFi is that you can't tell it what photos to send.

It would be nice for the app to present a low resolution version of what's on your card and then letting you via the app pick which high resolution ones to transfer. One minor issue is that the camera obviously must be on to transfer which slightly reduces battery life, but that is a small price to pay for a highly useful tool.

Unless you have multiple existing cameras that don't have the feature. All in all, I'm very happy with the product, but the all or nothing transfer knocks a star off for me. I do regret not buying this product earlier.

This is the way to go. It's so gratifying to take a few pictures during an event. Immediately transfer wirelessly to my phone. Make a few edits and filter choices and send out to others. I love it. They love it. It's just a great way to enjoy photography and to get the good feelings associated with this hobby without waiting a day or two. When you get immediate feedback you figure out what pictures look good and which edit well you: 1 become a much better photographer.

Otherwise you'll wait a few days or weeks to download all the pictures at once. You'll be a bit over-stimulated and won't learn as much. You'll not have the chance to correct any mistakes Anyway, I love it. Resources Resources. Supplies and Accessories Supplies and Accessories. See Online Partners.
